Stefanie Noelle Scott (born December 6, 1996) is an American actress and singer. She started her acting journey in 2008 with the comedy movie Beethoven's Big Break. Soon after, she released her first music collection called New Girl in Town in 2009.

Stefanie then had a supporting role in the romantic movie Flipped (2010), which helped her win a Young Artist Award. Many people came to know her when she played Lexi Reed on the Disney Channel show A.N.T. Farm from 2011 to 2014. This role earned her another Young Artist Award. While working with Disney, she also recorded several songs for promotions.

Later, Stefanie moved into bigger movies and TV shows. She lent her voice to the animated film Wreck-It Ralph (2012), which won her a BTVA Award. She then took on the main role of Quinn Brenner in the horror movie Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015), which was her most successful film. She also co-starred in the musical movie Jem and the Holograms (2015) and helped with its music. Stefanie has continued to act in independent films, like the crime movie Small Town Crime (2017), the true-story film Beautiful Boy (2018), the high-school drama Good Girls Get High (2018), and the suspense film Mary (2019). She currently stars in the Peacock streaming series The Girl in the Woods (2021).

Early life and beginnings

Stefanie Scott was born in Chicago, Illinois. She has two older brothers. Before being homeschooled in 2010, she lived in Indialantic, Florida, and went to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.

2008–2012: Starting out and Disney fame

Stefanie first appeared as a California Discovery Girl in Discovery Girls magazine in 2009. She played Katie in the movie Beethoven's Big Break. She also appeared in the film Flipped, directed by Rob Reiner. Later, she was in No Strings Attached, playing a younger version of the main character.

Stefanie was the voice of Emma in the Disney animated TV series Special Agent Oso, which started in 2009. She also had guest roles on the Fox series Sons of Tucson and the NBC series Chuck, where she played a 12-year-old Sarah Walker. She released her second song, "Shoulda Woulda Coulda," during this time.

In 2011, Stefanie became a main character, Lexi Reed, in the Disney Channel Original Series A.N.T. Farm. She also helped as a second assistant director for the show's first season. In the same year, she released the song "Girl I Used to Know." The music video for this song came out in October and featured the band Before You Exit.

2013–present: Movies and TV shows

In 2013, Stefanie was a guest star on the TV show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also voiced Moppet Girl in the animated movie Wreck-It Ralph. Stefanie guest-starred on the Disney Channel show Jessie as Maybelle. Since 2013, Stefanie has supported girls through "Shoeboxes for Haiti" and is an ambassador for "Cookies for Kids Cancer."

In 2014, Stefanie started filming four movies: Insidious: Chapter 3 (released in 2015), Jem and the Holograms, 1 Mile to You, and Caught. Caught was shown at the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2015. Also in 2015, Stefanie appeared in Hayley Kiyoko's music video for "Girls Like Girls." In 2015, she played the daughter of Pierce Brosnan and Anna Friel in the crime thriller I.T. (2016).

In 2016, it was announced that Stefanie would play the main role in the sci-fi movie At First Light (2018). In 2021, she starred as Sara Cody in the Lifetime movie Girl In The Basement, which was based on a true story. In May 2021, she played Carrie in the Crypt TV supernatural drama series The Girl in the Woods.

Stefanie also starred with Isabelle Fuhrman in the 2021 folk horror film The Last Thing Mary Saw.
