Jenni Falconer (born 12 February 1976) is a Scottish radio and television presenter. She is known for being a travel reporter on the ITV show This Morning. She was also a regular presenter for the National Lottery Draws on BBC One.

Falconer has also worked as a radio presenter. She hosted a show on Heart FM until 2019. Since 2020, she has been the host of the breakfast show on Smooth London and also hosts a Saturday show.

Early Life and Education

Jenni Falconer grew up in the Scottish towns of Bishopbriggs and Milngavie, near Glasgow. When she was seven, her family moved to Berkshire, England. She went to The Abbey School in Reading.

In 1994, she started studying Spanish and Italian at the University of Leeds. While she was at university, her television career began to take off. ITV offered her a contract to make a documentary and a consumer show. To accept the job, she had to leave her university studies.

Career in Television and Radio

Television Work

Falconer's first TV appearance was as a contestant on the dating show Blind Date in 1994. She later presented several shows for BBC Scotland and ITV. She hosted travel shows like Holiday.

From 2000 to 2008, she was a main host of Entertainment Today on the morning show GMTV. She also reported from Australia for I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! for GMTV.

In 2006, Falconer won a celebrity showjumping competition called Only Fools on Horses for the charity event Sport Relief. She also hosted three series of the show Fantasy Homes By the Sea. In 2009, she hosted the quiz show Wordplay on Channel 5.

Falconer is a familiar face on This Morning, where she works as a travel reporter. She has also been a guest presenter on the show. In 2013, she competed in the first series of the ITV diving show Splash!.

Radio Career

In March 2013, Falconer joined Heart to host a Sunday morning show. She later hosted the early breakfast show. In December 2019, she announced she was leaving Heart.

In January 2020, Falconer became the new host for the Smooth London breakfast show. She also hosts a Saturday show that is broadcast across the UK. In February 2025, it was announced that she would present the new national Smooth Breakfast show across England and Wales.

Other Projects

Falconer is a keen runner. In March 2019, she launched a podcast called RunPod. In the podcast, she talks to celebrities and athletes who also enjoy running. In July 2020, she became a running coach for the Start 2 Run app. Her book about running, Runner's High, was published in March 2024.

Personal Life and Charity Work

In June 2010, Falconer married actor James Midgley. They have a daughter named Ella, who was born in 2011. The family lives in Wimbledon, London.

Falconer uses her love of running to help others. She has run the London Marathon several times to raise money for charities. These charities include CLIC Sargent, The Children's Trust, and Cancer Research UK.

Since 2009, she has been a big supporter of The Children's Trust, which helps children with brain injuries. She became an official Ambassador for the charity in January 2019.
