Jennifer Winget (born on May 30, 1985) is a popular Indian actress and TV host. She is known for being one of the most successful TV actresses and has won many awards. Jennifer started acting as a child in the 1995 movie Akele Hum Akele Tum. She made her TV debut in 2002 with the show Shaka Laka Boom Boom.
She became well-known for her roles as Sneha Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Ganga Bhatia in Sangam, and Dr. Riddhima Gupta in Dill Mill Gayye. Jennifer became a top actress with her roles as Kumud Sundari Desai in Saraswatichandra, Maya Mehrotra in the exciting drama Beyhadh, and Zoya Siddiqui in the romantic series Bepannah.
Jennifer also started acting in web series. Her first web series was the crime drama Code M for ALT Balaji. She was even nominated for a top award, the Filmfare OTT Awards, for her role in Code M.

Early life
Jennifer Winget was born on May 30, 1985, in Bombay, which is now called Mumbai, India. Her mother, Prabha, is a Punjabi Hindu. Her father, Hemant Winget, is a Maharashtrian Christian. Because of her Western first name, people sometimes think she is not from India, but she is!
Career
Early work (1995–2009)
Jennifer began her acting journey as a child. She appeared in the 1995 film Akele Hum Akele Tum. Later, in 1997, she was seen as a school kid in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. When she was 15, she played Tanu in the 2000 film Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya. At 18, she had a supporting role in the Indian film Kuch Naa Kaho.
After her film roles, Jennifer worked in many Indian TV shows. Her first big role as a lead actress on TV was in the show Karthika. In this show, she played a singer who dreamed of becoming famous.
She then starred in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She played Sneha, the daughter of the main characters. Her acting in this role was highly praised. Later, she took over the role of Natasha in Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa. In 2007, she played Svetlana in the popular StarPlus drama Kahin To Hoga. From 2007 to 2009, she played the main female character, Ganga Bhatia, in the StarPlus drama Sangam.
In 2008, Jennifer took part in Star One's dance reality show Zara Nach Ke Dikha 1. She won the show! After winning, she hosted the second season of the show. She also hosted Dekh India Dekh and the comedy show Laughter Ke Phatke from 2009 to 2010.
Breakthrough in Saraswatichandra (2010–2015)
In the same year, Jennifer took over the role of Dr. Riddhima Gupta in the medical youth show Dill Mill Gayye. She starred alongside Karan Singh Grover and Karan Wahi. The show was about young medical interns who wanted to become the best doctors.
In 2011, she hosted the comedy show Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala. She also hosted the final episode of the dance show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan. Two years later, in 2013, she starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's TV show Saraswatichandra. She played the main character, Kumud Desai, opposite Gautam Rode. The story was about a classic love story with challenges. For her performance, she won several awards, including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress Critics.
Established with Beyhadh and Bepannaah (2016–present)
After a two-year break, Jennifer returned to TV in 2016. She played the famous role of Maya Mehrotra in Sony TV's exciting drama series Beyhadh. Her portrayal of a challenging and intense character was highly praised. She gained a huge fan following for this role. For her acting, she won many awards, including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress (Jury).
In 2018, she starred as Zoya Siddiqui in Colors TV's romantic drama series Bepannaah. She acted opposite Harshad Chopda. The story was about Zoya and Aditya, who meet in very difficult situations. Jennifer received great praise for her amazing acting skills. At the Gold Awards, she won Best Actress (Jury). She also won the Best Actress in Lead Role at the Indian Telly Awards.
After the first season's success, Jennifer starred as Maya Jaisingh in Beyhadh 2 in 2019. This was a new story in the same series as the 2016 Beyhadh. She starred alongside Ashish Chaudhary and Shivin Narang.
From 2020 to 2022, she entered the world of web series with ALT Balaji's crime drama Code M. In this series, she played Major Monica Mehra. Ruchi Kaushal from Hindustan Times wrote that Jennifer made a great debut on digital platforms. She played an army lawyer who investigates a big case just before her wedding. For her performance, she was nominated for Best Actress Series (Female) at the Filmfare OTT Awards.
Personal life
Jennifer Winget married Karan Singh Grover on April 9, 2012. In November 2014, Jennifer shared that she and Grover had separated.
