Jenny Kim (Korean: 김제니; born November 22, 1994) is a South Korean model and beauty pageant winner. She was crowned Miss Supranational 2017. Before that, she was named Miss Universe Korea 2016. She also competed in Miss Universe 2016.

Early Life and Education

Jenny Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, on November 22, 1994. When she was one year old, her family moved to Indonesia. She lived in Jakarta from 1995 until she finished high school in 2013.
She went to school at Jakarta Intercultural School and Gandhi Memorial International School in Jakarta for 13 years. After high school, Kim returned to Korea. She studied at Ewha Womans University. There, she learned about international business and English.
Jenny Kim also volunteers as an interpreter. She helps out at the National Museum of Indonesia in Jakarta. She can speak three languages: Korean, Indonesian, and English.

Jenny Kim believes her ability to understand different cultures is her biggest strength. She learned English in Indonesia, which helped her join international pageants. Her high school teacher encouraged her to compete. The teacher even called her mother until she agreed!
Kim says she has more fans in Indonesia than in Korea. After moving back to Korea, she trained for three years. She practiced skills like walking, fitness, public speaking, and makeup.
Miss World Korea 2015
Kim's first beauty pageant was Miss World Korea 2015. This competition took place in December 2015. She won the title of first runner-up. The winner was Miriam Wang Hyun.
Miss Universe 2016
Jenny Kim was chosen as Miss Universe Korea 2016. This was done by Park Jeong-ah, who leads Miss Universe Korea. The winner of Miss World Korea, Wang Hyun, went to compete in Miss World 2016.
Kim competed against 85 other contestants. This was at the 65th Miss Universe 2016 event. On January 30, 2017, she received the Miss Congeniality award. This was the first time Korea had won Miss Congeniality at Miss Universe.
Miss Supranational 2017
Kim competed in Miss Supranational 2017. The event was held in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland, on December 1. Jenny Kim was crowned the winner. The previous winner, Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty, passed on the title to her.
This was a big win for South Korea. It was the first time someone from South Korea won this major title.
During her time as Miss Supranational 2017, Kim traveled a lot. She visited Vietnam, China, Japan, Myanmar, Malaysia, India, and Indonesia. She attended Miss Diva 2018 in India. There, she gave interviews and shared tips with the contestants.
Kim also attended the Puteri Indonesia 2018 beauty contest. She was an honorary judge at Puteri Indonesia 2019. In 2018, she helped present the International Emmy Kids Awards at the Cannes Film Festival. She also crowned Miss Supranational Vietnam 2018 in Seoul, South Korea.
In November 2018, her reign as Miss Supranational was ending. All the Miss Supranational contestants in Poland threw her a 25th birthday party. This party was held in Karpacz.
