Jensen Ross Ackles (born March 1, 1978) is an American actor and musician. He is famous for playing Dean Winchester in the TV show Supernatural. This show was a mix of fantasy and drama and ran for many years.
Jensen has also appeared in other popular TV series. These include Days of Our Lives, Dark Angel, Smallville, and The Boys. He has also voiced characters in animated films like Batman.

Early Life and Start in Acting
Jensen Ackles was born on March 1, 1978, in Dallas, Texas. His dad, Alan Roger Ackles, was also an actor. Jensen grew up in Richardson.
After finishing Lloyd V. Berkner High School in 1996, he moved to Los Angeles. This is where he started his acting career. He had been modeling since he was four years old.

Days of Our Lives
In 1997, Jensen joined the cast of the TV show Days of Our Lives. He played a character named Eric Brady. His acting earned him a "Best Male Newcomer" award in 1998. He was also nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy Award. He left the show in 2000.
Dark Angel and Smallville
After Days of Our Lives, Jensen appeared in a mini-series called Blonde. He also tried out for the role of young Clark Kent in Smallville. That role went to actor Tom Welling.
Jensen then joined the show Dark Angel in 2001. He played two characters, Ben and Alec. He stayed with the show until it ended in 2002.
In 2003, Jensen was busy. He joined the final season of Dawson's Creek, playing CJ. In 2004, he became a regular on Smallville. He played Jason Teague, a football coach and love interest for Lana Lang.
Supernatural

In 2005, Jensen got a main role in the TV series Supernatural. He played Dean Winchester. Dean and his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) travel across the United States. They hunt paranormal creatures, demons, and angels.
Supernatural ran for fifteen seasons, making it one of the longest-running sci-fi shows in North America. The show became very popular with fans worldwide.
Film and Voice Acting
In 2007, Jensen starred in the comedy film Ten Inch Hero. He also performed on stage in a play called A Few Good Men. This was his first professional theater role.
In 2008, Jensen was cast in the horror film My Bloody Valentine 3D. It was released in theaters in 2009.
Jensen has also done a lot of voice acting. In 2010, he voiced Red Hood (Jason Todd) in the animated film Batman: Under The Red Hood. He later voiced Batman (Bruce Wayne) himself in the animated movies Batman: The Long Halloween (a two-part film), Legion of Super-Heroes, and Justice League: Warworld.
He also voiced a character named Gibson in the video game Tron: Evolution in 2010.
Music and Recent Projects

Jensen released his first original song, "Sounds of Someday," in 2018. He then formed a music group called Radio Company with musician Steve Carlson. They have released three albums: Vol. 1 (2019), Vol. 2 (2021), and Keep on Ramblin' (2023).
In 2020, it was announced that Jensen would join the cast of The Boys. He plays the character Ben / Soldier Boy in the third season. He also appeared as a version of Soldier Boy in the spin-off show Gen V.
Jensen and his wife have a production company called Chaos Machine Productions. They are developing a Supernatural prequel show called The Winchesters. Jensen will narrate the show as Dean.
In 2021, Jensen was cast in the Western film Rust. He also guest-starred in the TV drama Big Sky in 2022. He later became a main character for the show's third season.
Personal Life
Jensen Ackles got engaged to actress and model Danneel Harris in November 2009. They got married on May 15, 2010, in Dallas.
They have three children. Their first child, a daughter, was born in May 2013. In December 2016, they welcomed twins, a boy and a girl.
Jensen is also a co-owner of a brewery in Dripping Springs, Texas. It's called Family Business Beer Company. The name is a nod to Supernatural, where "family business" was a common phrase.
