Jeremy Deshawn Evans (born October 24, 1987) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Mykonos in the Greek Basketball League. Jeremy played college basketball for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. After college, the Utah Jazz picked him in the 2010 NBA draft.
During his career, Jeremy has played for several teams. These include the Utah Jazz, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Atlanta Hawks. He also played for Khimki Moscow in Russia. A big highlight of his career was winning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2012.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Jeremy Evans grew up loving basketball. He went to Crossett High School in Arkansas. He was a star player there.
High School Achievements
Jeremy helped his team, the Eagles, reach the state tournament. This happened in both his junior and senior years. As a junior, he was named All-State and All-League. He was also voted the County Player of the Year. In his senior year, he scored about 25.6 points per game. He also grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked 4 shots per game. These great stats earned him more All-State honors.
College Basketball Career
After high school, Jeremy played college basketball. He joined the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. He played for them from 2006 to 2010.
College Highlights
In his senior year, Jeremy scored 10 points per game. He was very good at shooting, making 63.9% of his shots. He became the Hilltoppers' all-time leader in blocked shots. He blocked a total of 224 shots during his college career. Jeremy also scored over 1,000 points in college. He finished with 1,065 career points.

Playing for the Utah Jazz (2010–2015)
The Utah Jazz picked Jeremy in the 2010 NBA draft. He was the 55th player chosen overall. Sometimes, he also played for the Utah Flash. This was a team in a different league.
NBA Slam Dunk Champion
In 2012, Jeremy became famous for his amazing dunks. He was chosen to compete in the NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest. He replaced an injured player. Jeremy won the contest with a fantastic dunk. He jumped over his teammate Gordon Hayward and dunked two basketballs at once!
He competed in the Slam Dunk Contest again in 2013. For one dunk, he jumped over a painting of himself dunking. He had painted the picture himself! He ended up losing to Terrence Ross that year.
Dallas Mavericks (2015–2016)
In 2015, Jeremy signed a two-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks. He played his first game for them in October 2015. He scored 7 points and got 6 rebounds in a win. During this time, he also played for the Texas Legends. This was the Mavericks' team in the NBA Development League. In March 2016, he had surgery on his shoulder. This meant he couldn't play for the rest of the season.
Playing in Europe and Other Leagues
After his time with the Mavericks, Jeremy played for teams in different countries.
Khimki (2016–2017, 2019–2020)
In October 2016, Jeremy signed with Khimki, a team in Russia. He played there for the 2016–17 season. He later returned to Khimki for another season from 2019 to 2020.
Erie BayHawks and Atlanta Hawks (2017–2018)
Jeremy also played for the Erie BayHawks. This team was part of the NBA's development league. He also had a short time with the Atlanta Hawks in 2018.
Darüşşafaka (2018–2019)
In 2018, Jeremy signed with Darüşşafaka. This team plays in Turkey's top basketball league and the EuroLeague.
Olimpia Milano (2021)
In 2021, Jeremy joined Olimpia Milano in Italy. He played for them in EuroLeague games.
Panathinaikos (2021–2022)
Later in 2021, Jeremy signed with Panathinaikos in Greece. He played for them for one year. He averaged about 6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in the Greek league.
Paris Basketball (2022–2023)
In 2022, Jeremy moved to France. He signed with Paris Basketball.
Manama (2023)
In 2023, Jeremy played for Manama Club in Bahrain. He helped them win the first-ever West Asia Super League (WASL) championship. He scored about 8.3 points per game in that tournament.

In 2024, Jeremy played for Nagasaki Velca in Japan.

As of 2025, Jeremy is playing for Mykonos in the Greek Basketball League.
The Basketball Tournament
Jeremy has also played in The Basketball Tournament (TBT). This is a yearly basketball competition. In 2017, he played for the Kentucky Kings. He averaged 21.5 points and 13 rebounds per game. In 2018, he played for Eberlein Drive. His team made it to the championship game but lost. He also played in TBT in 2021.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Jeremy Evans is not just a basketball player. He is also a talented artist! He once had a sketch shown on national television. This was during a college basketball game. Some of his artwork has also been displayed at his college, Western Kentucky University. He studied art in college. Jeremy is married to Korrie and has a younger brother named Justin.
