Jesús María Zamora Ansorena (born 1 January 1955) is a Spanish former professional footballer. He played as a midfielder, which is a player who helps both defend and attack in a football game. Zamora is famous for spending his entire playing career with one club, Real Sociedad, and for helping them win important titles.

Playing for Real Sociedad
Jesús María Zamora was born in Errenteria, a town in Gipuzkoa, Spain. He joined his local club, Real Sociedad, when he was young. He played for their youth teams and then for their B-team, San Sebastián.
Becoming a Star Player
Zamora joined Real Sociedad's main team in 1974. He quickly became a very important player for them. He played in 446 La Liga games over 14 years. La Liga is the top football league in Spain. He was a key part of the team, often playing alongside another famous player named Jesús María Satrústegui.
Winning the League Title
One of Zamora's most amazing moments happened in the 1980–81 season. In the very last game, he scored a goal in the final seconds against Sporting de Gijón. This goal helped Real Sociedad get the point they needed to win the league title!
It was a very exciting finish. Another team, Real Madrid, thought they had won the league. Their players were already celebrating. But then they heard on the radio about Zamora's goal. Real Sociedad had won the title instead!
More Success and Retirement
The next season, 1981–82, Real Sociedad won the league title again. Zamora scored three goals in 31 matches that season. He retired from playing football in 1989.
After he stopped playing, Zamora continued to work with Real Sociedad in different roles. He helped the team as an assistant coach from 2002 to 2004. During this time, the team finished second in the league in 2003.
Playing for Spain
Zamora also played for the Spanish national team. He played 30 games for his country and scored three goals.
International Tournaments
His first game for Spain was a friendly match against Italy in 1978. He represented Spain in two major tournaments: the UEFA Euro 1980 and the 1982 FIFA World Cup. His last game for Spain was a 0–0 draw against England in the 1982 World Cup. This was also the last international game for his club teammate, Satrústegui.
Historic Win at Wembley
On 25 March 1981, Zamora and Satrústegui both scored goals for Spain. They helped Spain win a game at Wembley Stadium for the first time in history. It was a big achievement for the Spanish team.
