In 2010, Jessica joined Bellator Fighting Championships, a big MMA organization. She quickly showed her skills. At Bellator 24, she won her first fight by submission. This meant she made her opponent give up using a special hold.

She faced Zoila Frausto Gurgel in a tough match at Bellator 31. Jessica later had a rematch with Lisa Ellis and won by decision. She also defeated Patricia Vidonic and Megumi Fujii in Bellator.

Becoming a Champion in WSOF

Winning the WSOF Title

Jessica fought for the WSOF Women's Strawweight Championship on January 18, 2014, at WSOF 8. She won the fight by submission in the first round. This made her the first-ever WSOF Women's Strawweight Champion.

She successfully defended her title two times. First, she beat Emi Fujino at WSOF 10 in June 2014. Then, she defended it again against Kalindra Faria at WSOF 15 in November 2014. She won both fights by unanimous decision, meaning all the judges agreed she was the winner.

In May 2015, Jessica left WSOF to join the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is one of the biggest MMA organizations in the world.
