Jessica Aguilar (born May 8, 1982) is a talented mixed martial artist from Mexico and the United States. She is known for her exciting fights in different organizations like RIZIN, World Series of Fighting (WSOF), Bellator Fighting Championships, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Jessica was once the champion in the Strawweight division for WSOF.

Jessica Aguilar's Fighting Journey
Jessica Aguilar started her professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career on February 18, 2006. Her first fight was against Lisa Ellis.
Early Fights and Bellator
In her early career, Jessica won several fights. She defeated Sumie Sakai in 2007 and Valerie Coolbaugh in 2010. She also won against Catia Vitoria by TKO (Technical Knockout).
In 2010, Jessica joined Bellator Fighting Championships, a big MMA organization. She quickly showed her skills. At Bellator 24, she won her first fight by submission. This meant she made her opponent give up using a special hold.
She faced Zoila Frausto Gurgel in a tough match at Bellator 31. Jessica later had a rematch with Lisa Ellis and won by decision. She also defeated Patricia Vidonic and Megumi Fujii in Bellator.
Becoming a Champion in WSOF
On November 11, 2013, Jessica Aguilar joined the World Series of Fighting (WSOF). She was the very first female fighter to sign with them!
Winning the WSOF Title
Jessica fought for the WSOF Women's Strawweight Championship on January 18, 2014, at WSOF 8. She won the fight by submission in the first round. This made her the first-ever WSOF Women's Strawweight Champion.
She successfully defended her title two times. First, she beat Emi Fujino at WSOF 10 in June 2014. Then, she defended it again against Kalindra Faria at WSOF 15 in November 2014. She won both fights by unanimous decision, meaning all the judges agreed she was the winner.
In May 2015, Jessica left WSOF to join the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is one of the biggest MMA organizations in the world.
Fighting in the UFC
Jessica Aguilar officially joined the UFC on June 11, 2015. Her first UFC fight was against Cláudia Gadelha at UFC 190. She lost this fight by unanimous decision.
She later faced Cortney Casey at UFC 211 in May 2017. Jessica lost this fight by unanimous decision.
In July 2018, Jessica fought Jodie Esquibel at UFC Fight Night 133. She won this fight by unanimous decision, showing her strong comeback.
Her next fights were against Zhang Weili and Marina Rodriguez. She lost both of these matches. In May 2019, Jessica left the UFC.
Later Career
After the UFC, Jessica Aguilar signed with Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) in October 2020. She had a fight against Danielle Taylor at XFC 43 in November 2020, which she lost by split decision.
In July 2022, it was announced that Jessica would compete in the Rizin FF 2022 Super Atomweight Grand Prix. She faced Ayaka Hamasaki in the quarterfinals at Rizin 37 on July 31, 2022.
Jessica was also scheduled to fight Natalia Kuziutina at a Global Fight League event in May 2025, but the event was postponed.
Life Outside the Ring
Outside of her fighting career, Jessica Aguilar works in franchise development for the Boca Tanning Club chain in Florida.
