Jessica Hecht was born on June 28, 1965. She is an American actress. She is famous for playing Gretchen Schwartz in Breaking Bad. She also played Susan Bunch in Friends. You might also know her as Carol from The Boys or Karen from Special.
Jessica Hecht has also done a lot of work on Broadway. She was even nominated for a Tony Award twice. These nominations were for her roles in A View from the Bridge (2010) and Summer, 1976 (2023).

Early Life and School Days
Jessica Hecht was born in Princeton, New Jersey. When she was three, her family moved to Bloomfield, Connecticut. She went to Connecticut College for a while. Later, she graduated from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 1987. She earned a special degree in drama.
Jessica grew up in a culturally Jewish family. She has said she is "fairly spiritual." She even had a Bat Mitzvah when she was younger.
Her Acting Career
Jessica Hecht has appeared in many TV shows. Some of these include Dickinson, Bored to Death, and Succession. In 2019, she was nominated for an Emmy Award. This was for her role as Karen in the Netflix series Special.
She is well-known for playing Gretchen Schwartz in Breaking Bad. She was in 5 episodes of this popular show. She also played Susan Bunch in Friends. Susan was the wife of Ross Geller's ex-wife, Carol. Jessica appeared in 12 episodes of Friends.
Jessica Hecht has also acted in movies. She played Amy Burns in the movie Dan in Real Life (2007). This film starred Steve Carell and Juliette Binoche. She also appeared in Whatever Works, Sideways, and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
