About Jesus de Miguel

Early Life and Education

Jesus de Miguel studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca in Spain. He also studied Anthropology of Art at the same university. He finished his studies in 1999.

Art Director and Music

Since 2000, Jesus de Miguel has been the Art Director for Flower Power. This is a famous art and music event that has been happening at Pachá for over 30 years.

In 2000, he started his own music label called Modern Electrics with his partner Al Velilla. They helped many electronic music artists share their work, including Nacho Marco and Kiko Navarro.

His Artistic Style

Jesus de Miguel is a very creative artist who works in many different ways. He makes sculptures, creates music, uses 3D animation, and produces video art and installation art. His art often mixes ideas from different styles. These include dadaism (which uses humor and nonsense), comics, punk (a rebellious music and fashion style), collage (making art by sticking different materials together), and even ancient cave paintings.

Allen Jones, a famous British artist, was very impressed by Jesus de Miguel's work. After seeing his exhibition at Think Creative Hub, he said, "He is an artist who uses different ways to express himself in an amazing way. It's very hard to have such a big solo show and still make it feel so connected and complete. Great job!"
