Jimmie Robinson (born in 1963 in California) is an American comic book creator. He is famous for writing and drawing comic series. Many of his works, like Amanda and Gunn and Five Weapons, were published by Image Comics.

Jimmie Robinson: Comic Book Creator
Early Life and Education
Jimmie Robinson grew up in Oakland, California. He went to several schools there. These included Mosswood Arts, Renaissance Middle School, and Concordia High School.
Starting a Career in Comics
After working as a commercial artist, Robinson started in the comics world in 1994. He first published his own comic, Cyberzone. This science fiction story had eight issues. It featured a character named Amanda Shane and her smart gun.
In 1996, Image Comics published a spin-off series. It was called Amanda & Gunn and had four issues.
Expanding His Comic Stories
Robinson continued to create new comics. In 1997, he released Code Blue, a medical drama comic. He then created Adventures of Evil & Malice. This was a colorful, all-ages series. It was about the secretly good daughters of a super-villain.
Later, Robinson illustrated Avigon for writer Ché Gilson. This story was first published in 2000. An expanded version, Avigon: Gods And Demons, came out in 2005.
Creating Popular Series
In 2006, Robinson started the action and humor series Bomb Queen. This comic features a super-villain who rules a city without laws. This city is a safe place for all kinds of criminals. The first mini-series was very popular. This led to seven more mini-series being released by 2020.
In 2008, he wrote a special comic for Marvel Comics. It was called What if? Wolverine: Enemy of the State. He also worked with writer Derek McCulloch. Together, they created T. Runt!, a children's book. It was about a small Tyrannosaurus rex and was published in 2009.
Recent Works and Awards
From 2013 to 2014, Robinson created Five Weapons. This comic is about a 13-year-old boy. He attends a special school where children of assassins learn their family's skills. It was planned as a five-issue series. However, a five-issue sequel was also released due to its popularity.
In 2015, he began publishing The Empty. This is a science-fiction story. It follows two different women who team up. They work together to save a world that is dying.
Robinson received an Inkpot Award in 2015. This award was given at the San Diego Comic Convention International. In 2019, he was chosen as one of six judges for the Eisner Awards.
