James W. Sturr Jr., known to many as Jimmy Sturr, is a famous American musician. He was born on September 25, 1941. Jimmy Sturr is a talented polka musician who plays the trumpet, clarinet, and saxophone. He is also the leader of his own band, Jimmy Sturr & His Orchestra.
Many people call him the "King of Polka" because he is so good at what he does. His music has won an amazing 18 Grammy Awards for Best Polka Album! This means his orchestra is one of the top groups in Grammy history. They have received more Grammy nominations than any other polka group ever.

Jimmy Sturr's Musical Journey
Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra have played in many famous places. They have performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City. They even played at Yankee Stadium and the Palace of Culture in Warsaw, Poland. When they travel, the band rides in Jimmy's special 45-foot tour bus.
