James Leon Wilson (born July 30, 1986) is an American former professional football player. He played as a safety. The Miami Dolphins chose him in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft. Before joining the NFL, he played college football at Montana.

Miami Dolphins Years
The Miami Dolphins picked Jimmy Wilson in the 2011 NFL Draft. He was the 235th player chosen overall. In his first year, 2011, he made his first interception against the Cleveland Browns. He also forced a fumble against the New York Jets. Wilson finished his rookie season with good plays, including an interception and a forced fumble.
In 2012, Wilson continued to make big plays. He forced another fumble and recorded his first sack against the New York Jets. In the same game, he even blocked a punt that led to a touchdown. He also got another sack against the Tennessee Titans. Wilson had 35 tackles and 2 sacks that year.
The 2013 season saw Wilson get his second interception against the Atlanta Falcons. He also forced his third fumble against the New Orleans Saints. Later, he caught his third interception from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wilson ended 2013 with 37 tackles and 2 interceptions.
In 2014, Wilson caught his fourth interception against the Oakland Raiders. This was a strong year for him in terms of tackles. He finished the season with a career-high 57 tackles.
San Diego Chargers Time
In 2015, Jimmy Wilson joined the San Diego Chargers. He signed a two-year contract with the team. He made his first fumble recovery against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also caught his fifth career interception against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson recorded his third career sack against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released by the Chargers in December 2015.
Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals
Wilson signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in April 2016. However, he was released by the team a month later. He then signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in July 2016. The Bengals released him in September 2016.
