Joan Lin Feng-jiao (born on June 30, 1952) is a talented former actress from Taiwan. She is well-known for her movie roles in the 1970s. She is married to the famous Hong Kong actor and martial artist, Jackie Chan.

Early Life and Family
Joan Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan, on June 30, 1952. She was the second of five children in her family. When she was just 12 years old, she had to leave school. This was because her family faced financial difficulties.
Her Acting Career
Joan Lin started her acting journey in 1972 when she was 20 years old. Her first movie was a Kung fu film called The Hero of Chiu ChowChiung Yao.

In the 1970s, Joan Lin became one of the biggest stars in Taiwanese and Hong Kong movies. She was part of a famous group of actors known as the "Two Chins, Two Lins" (二秦二林). A lot of these films were also based on Chiung Yao's novels.

In 1979, Joan Lin won a major award for her acting. She received the Best Leading Actress award at the 16th Golden Horse Awards for her role in the movie The Story of a Small Town. During her 10-year career, Joan Lin appeared in more than 70 films, showing how busy and successful she was.

Joan Lin met the famous Hong Kong actor and martial artist Jackie Chan in January 1981. They got married secretly in Los Angeles in 1982. Their only child, Jaycee Chan, was born just one day after they got married. After getting married and having her son, Joan Lin decided to retire from acting.
