Joan Lin Feng-jiao (born June 30, 1952) is a former actress from Taiwan. She is married to the famous Hong Kong actor and martial artist, Jackie Chan.

Early Life and Beginnings
Joan Lin was born on June 30, 1952, in Taipei, Taiwan. She was the second of five children in her family. Because her family faced financial difficulties, she had to leave school when she was 12 years old.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting in Movies
In 1972, when Joan Lin was 20 years old, she starred in her first movie. It was a Kung fu film called The Hero of Chiu ChowChiung Yao.

During the 1970s, Joan Lin became one of the biggest stars in Taiwanese and Hong Kong movies. She was part of a famous group of actors known as the "Two Chins, Two Lins." This group included Charlie Chin, Chin Han, Brigitte Lin, and Joan Lin herself. They were very popular and starred in many successful movies, often based on Chiung Yao's novels.

In 1979, Joan Lin won a major award for her acting. She received the Best Leading Actress award at the 16th Golden Horse Awards for her role in the movie The Story of a Small Town. During her 10-year career, Joan Lin appeared in more than 70 films.
Personal Life
Joan Lin met the well-known Hong Kong actor and martial artist Jackie Chan in January 1981. They got married secretly in Los Angeles in 1982. Their only child, Jaycee Chan, was born shortly after their wedding. After getting married, Joan Lin decided to retire from acting to focus on her family.
