Carlos Joaquín Correa (born August 13, 1994) is a professional footballer from Argentina. He plays as a forward for the Italian club Inter Milan. People often call him "El Tucu" because he comes from the Tucumán area in Argentina.

Club Career Highlights
Starting at Estudiantes

Joaquín Correa was born in Juan Bautista Alberdi, Tucumán, Argentina. He started playing football at a young age. He played for youth teams like River Plate and Renato Cesarini. Later, he joined Estudiantes, where he began his professional career.
He made his first team debut for Estudiantes on May 19, 2012. He scored his first professional goal on May 10, 2014. This was in a 3–0 win against San Lorenzo. He also scored in the 2014 Copa Sudamericana tournament.
Moving to Sampdoria
On December 16, 2014, Correa moved to Italy to play for Serie A club Sampdoria. He signed a contract for four and a half years. He wore the number 8 shirt at first, then changed to number 10.
He played his first game for Sampdoria on February 15, 2015. He didn't play much in his first season. But in the next season, he started playing more often. He scored his first goal in Italy on January 17, 2016. He ended that season with three goals.
Playing for Sevilla
On July 10, 2016, Correa joined La Liga team Sevilla in Spain. He made his debut for Sevilla on August 17, 2016. This was in a game against Barcelona.
He played his first game in the top Spanish league on August 20, 2016. On February 22, 2017, he scored his first goal in the UEFA Champions League. This was in a 2–1 win against Leicester City. He also scored against Liverpool in the Champions League on September 17, 2017.
Returning to Italy with Lazio
On August 1, 2018, Correa went back to Italy to play for Lazio. He signed a five-year contract. He played his first game for Lazio on August 18. He scored his first goal for the club on September 26, 2018.
In the 2018–19 Coppa Italia (Italian Cup), Correa scored a very important goal. This goal helped Lazio reach the final. In the final, he scored the second goal in a 2–0 win against Atalanta. This was his first trophy with Lazio. In his first season, he played 44 games and scored 9 goals.
He extended his contract with Lazio until 2024. On December 22, 2019, he won his second trophy with Lazio. This was the 2019 Supercoppa Italiana (Italian Supercup). In his second season, he scored 10 goals in 35 games. In his third and final season with Lazio, he scored 11 goals in 38 games.
Joining Inter Milan
On August 26, 2021, Correa joined Inter Milan. He first joined on a one-year loan. After the loan, he would sign a three-year contract. He made a great debut for Inter Milan on August 27. He came on as a substitute and scored two goals in a 3–1 win.
Loan to Marseille
On August 25, 2023, Joaquín Correa moved to Olympique de Marseille in France. He joined them on a one-year loan deal.
International Career
Correa started playing for the Argentine national team on June 9, 2017. This was in a 1–0 win against their rivals Brazil. On June 13, he scored his first goal for Argentina. This was in a big 6–0 win against Singapore.
He was part of the Argentine team that won the 2021 Copa America tournament. He played in 3 games during that competition. He was also chosen for the 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, he got an injury just five days before the tournament started. Because of this, he could not play and was replaced by Thiago Almada.
