Jocelyn Jee Esien (born 7 May 1974) is a talented British comedian, actress, and writer. She has Nigerian family roots. Jocelyn is well-known for her funny roles in TV shows. She became famous for shows like 3 Non-Blondes and her very own comedy sketch show, Little Miss Jocelyn.

Early Life and Education
Jocelyn Esien was born in Hackney, London, on 7 May 1974. Her parents came from Nigeria. She went to Raine's Foundation School. Jocelyn first studied law at university. But she soon decided to follow her passion for acting. She then studied drama and graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Becoming a Comedy Star
Jocelyn became widely known in 2003. This was when she appeared in the BBC hidden-camera show 3 Non-Blondes. In this show, she played different characters and made people laugh. Before that, she had also appeared in other TV series. These included The Fast Show and The Bill.
In 2006, Jocelyn wrote and starred in her own comedy sketch show. It was called Little Miss Jocelyn. A second series of the show aired in January 2008. This show was very special. It was the first time in TV history, in either the US or the UK, that a black woman had her own solo comedy sketch show.
Awards and Recognition
Jocelyn has won several awards for her talent. In 2000, she won the Best Newcomer award. This was at the Black International Comedy Awards. She also won a New Talent Award in 2006. This award was part of the Women in Film and Television Awards.
Other TV and Film Roles
In 2007, Jocelyn appeared in a music video. It was for Comic Relief by Girls Aloud and Sugababes. The song was "Walk This Way". She played a funny part, giving a parking ticket to a character.
Jocelyn also appeared in The Sarah Jane Adventures. This was a popular children's science fiction show. She played Clyde Langer's mother, Carla. She returned to this role in 2010 and 2011 for more episodes.
In 2009, Jocelyn played a waitress named Cindie Smith. This was in the ITV series Collision. From 2009 to 2012, she starred in a comedy drama on BBC Radio 4. It was called Beauty of Britain.
In 2010, Jocelyn returned to BBC Three for One Non-Blonde: Down Under. This was an eight-part comedy show. She created new characters for it, like a rapper and a socialite. She toured New Zealand with these characters. She also appeared with other famous British comedians. This was in BBC One's The One Ronnie Christmas special.
In 2011, Jocelyn appeared in the British comedy film Anuvahood. She also featured in the BBC Three comedy series Some Girls.
In 2013, she performed in a play called One Monkey Don't Stop No Show. It was at the Tricycle Theatre in London. She then toured with the play across the country.
Jocelyn also appeared in the 2013 TV movie Gangsta Granny. She played the character Kelly. From 2013 to 2014, she was in the BBC comedy Big School. She played Daphne, the personal assistant to the headmistress.
More recently, Jocelyn had a cameo role in the BBC sitcom "Not Going Out" in 2022.
