Jodie's Music Journey
Starting Out in Music
Jodie Connor went to Saddleworth School and then Oldham College, where she studied performing arts. Before becoming a famous singer, she worked as a receptionist during the day. At night and on weekends, she would perform at different places.
In 2003, Jodie appeared on a popular TV talent show called Pop Idol. The judges really liked her, and she made it to the top fifty contestants. This gave her a chance to sing live on TV. Even though she didn't win, she got a second chance in the "Wildcard" round, but she didn't make it through that time either.
