Jason McDermott, known as Stylo G, is a British-Jamaican singer, rapper, and songwriter. He was born on July 16, 1985, in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He is famous for his hit songs like "My Yout", "Call Mi a Leader", and "Soundbwoy". "Soundbwoy" was a big hit, reaching number 18 on the UK music charts. Stylo G also worked with the British group Clean Bandit on their song "Come Over". He also teamed up with Divine for the popular song "Mirchi".

Early Life and Moving to London
Jason McDermott was born in Jamaica. When he was fifteen years old, his family moved to London, England. He now lives in South London.
Stylo G's Music Journey
Stylo G started his music career with a grime song called "My Yout". This song featured other artists, Stickman and Ice Kid. It became quite popular in the grime music scene. Because he lived in the UK, Stylo G worked with many British hip hop and grime artists. Some of these artists include Giggs, Chip, and Wretch 32.
In 2011, Stylo G released another song called "Call Mi A Yardie". A year later, in 2012, he took part in the Red Bull Culture Clash. He performed alongside famous singers like Rita Ora and Usher.

On May 26, 2013, Stylo G released "Soundbwoy". This song was his first to reach the Top 20 in the UK. It also did well in Scotland, reaching number 29 on their charts. In 2014, he was featured on the Clean Bandit song "Come Over". This song reached number 45 on the UK Singles Chart. In September 2014, Stylo G was nominated for a MOBO Award. This award was for the Best Reggae Act.
