Joe Dempsie is an English actor. He is well-known for playing Chris Miles in the TV show Skins. He also played Gendry Baratheon in the popular series Game of Thrones.

Joe Dempsie grew up in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England. His dad was a social worker, and his mom was a psychologist who helped with education.
He went to West Bridgford School. He also learned acting at the Central Junior Television Workshop in Nottingham. This workshop helps young people learn about TV acting.
