Career as a Sports Owner

Leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In 1995, Joel Glazer worked with his father, Malcolm, to buy the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team. Joel and his brother, Bryan, then helped get support from the community. This support was for building a new stadium, which became Raymond James Stadium.

In 2002, Joel helped lead the Buccaneers to their first ever Super Bowl victory. They won against the Oakland Raiders on January 26, 2003. In 2021, the Buccaneers made history. They became the first team to play in a Super Bowl in their own home stadium. They won Super Bowl LV, which was their second championship title under the Glazer family's ownership.
