Johanna's Journey in Sports Journalism

Starting Out

Johanna Frändén was born in a place called Lerdala, close to Skövde. When she was in high school, she studied Spanish. This helped her later in her career. In 2005, she met Simon Bank, who was a sports editor at Aftonbladet. This meeting led her to move to Stockholm in 2006. There, she started working for the newspaper's sports team.

Reporting on Big Soccer Events

Johanna is often asked to be an expert commentator for major soccer tournaments. She has covered the World Cup many times. For example, she reported from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. She also covered the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

She has also been a commentator for the European Football Championships. These include Euro 2012 and Euro 2016. So far, she has helped SVT cover two World Cups and two Euro championships.

Following Zlatan Ibrahimović

In the summer of 2006, Aftonbladet sent Johanna to France. Her job was to report on what happened after the Euro 2006 football championship. She also had a special task for SVT: to follow Zlatan Ibrahimović's career very closely.

When Zlatan started playing for FC Barcelona, Johanna moved to Barcelona. Later, when he began playing in the French Ligue 1, she moved to Paris. This shows how dedicated she was to her reporting!
