John Kevin Callahan (born December 23, 1953 – died March 28, 2020) was an American actor. He was best known for playing the character Edmund Grey on the popular daytime TV show All My Children.

John Callahan was born in Brooklyn, New York. Before he became an actor, he studied law at the University of California at Berkeley.
Acting Career Highlights
John Callahan had many roles on television. From 1984 to 1985, he played Leo Russell on the TV show General Hospital. He was also Eric Stavros on the prime-time series Falcon Crest from 1986 to 1988.
Famous Soap Opera Roles
Callahan played Craig Hunt on Santa Barbara from 1989 to 1991. His most famous role was Edmund Grey on All My Children, which he played from 1992 to 2005. He even appeared as Edmund in an episode of the TV comedy Spin City in 1997. Later, from 2008 to 2010, he played Richard Baker on Days of Our Lives.
Hosting and Game Shows
John Callahan also co-hosted TV shows. With his All My Children co-star Eva LaRue, he hosted the Weddings of a Lifetime series in 1995. They also hosted the Miss America pageant in 1997. In 1990, Callahan was a celebrity guest on the TV game show To Tell the Truth.
Personal Life
John Callahan was married to Linda Freeman from 1982 to 1994. He had two stepsons from this marriage. He later married his All My Children co-star Eva LaRue in 1996. Eva LaRue played Maria Santos, who was Edmund's love interest on the show. They had a daughter named Kaya McKenna, born in December 2001. John and Eva divorced in 2005.
John Callahan passed away on March 28, 2020.
