Eva LaRue (born December 27, 1966) is an American actress and model. She is famous for playing Maria Santos on the TV show All My Children. She also played Detective Natalia Boa Vista on CSI: Miami.

Early Life and Beginnings

Eva LaRue was born in Long Beach, California. Her parents are Marcie and Luis LaRue. She has three siblings: two sisters, Nika and Lara, and a brother, Luis Jr. Eva is a member of the Baháʼí Faith.

Eva started acting when she was only six years old. As a teenager, she became a beauty queen. In 1984, she won the Miss California Empire title. She finished high school in 1985 at Norco High School.

Eva LaRue's Career

Eva LaRue has had a long and successful career in both modeling and acting.

Modeling Career

After high school, Eva began modeling. She worked with the Judith Fontaine Agency. She also modeled for Frederick's of Hollywood. You might have seen her in commercials for Zumba fitness or Sheer Cover Studio makeup. Eva has been on the cover of many magazines. These include LA Direct, Vivmag, Orange Coast, InStyle Weddings, Woman's World, and Latina.

Acting Roles

Eva LaRue has appeared in many TV shows and movies.

Early TV Shows

From 1991 to 1992, Eva was a co-host on Candid Camera. This show played funny pranks on people.

All My Children Role

From 1993 to 1997, and again from 2002 to 2005, Eva played Dr. Maria Santos Grey on All My Children. Her character, Maria, was part of a very popular couple on the show with Edmund. Eva was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her acting on All My Children. In 2004, she was also nominated for an award for writing a song called "Dance Again with You."

In 2010, Eva returned to All My Children for a special episode. It was the show's 40th anniversary! She also came back in 2011 when the show was ending its run on ABC.

CSI: Miami Role

In 2005, Eva joined the cast of CSI: Miami. She played Natalia Boa Vista, a detective. At first, her character was a "mole" (a secret agent) reporting to the FBI. But later, Natalia became a full-time member of the team. Eva stayed on CSI: Miami until 2012.

Other TV and Movie Appearances

Eva has also acted in many TV movies. She played Annette Funicello in a movie about the famous Mouseketeer. She also appeared in a movie based on Danielle Steel's book Remembrance.

In 2005, Eva played Linda Lorenzo on the TV show George Lopez. In 2013, she was a guest star on Criminal Minds, playing Agent Tanya Mays.

In 2015, Eva was cast in Fuller House, which is a new version of the old show Full House. She played Teri Tanner, the wife of Danny Tanner. This show started on Netflix in 2016. She also voiced a character called the Admirable in three episodes of Mack & Moxy.

More recently, in 2019, Eva joined The Young and the Restless as Celeste Rosales. In February 2024, she started a new role as Natalia Rogers-Ramirez on General Hospital. Eva LaRue is also in a new romantic movie called "The Engagement Plan," which came out in August 2024.

Personal Life

Eva LaRue has been married three times. She was married to actor John O'Hurley for two years until 1994. In 1996, she married her All My Children co-star John Callahan. They hosted the 1997 Miss America pageant together. They had a daughter named Kaya McKenna Callahan in December 2001. Eva and John divorced in 2005.

Eva married Joe Cappucio in June 2010. They divorced in 2014.
