John F. Kennedy Park is a public park located in the Vine City neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. It's named after John F. Kennedy, who was a former president of the United States. The park was updated and reopened in 2019 after a big renovation project.

Park History

Before the Super Bowl LIII event, which took place at the nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, this park got a major upgrade. The renovation cost about $2.4 million. It added a brand new playground for kids. It also included an artificial turf field, which is a special type of fake grass.

Work on the park started on August 22, 2018. On January 31, 2019, the park officially reopened. Important people attended the reopening. These included Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. The money for the renovation came from two groups: the National Football League Foundation and the Arthur Blank Family Foundation.
