John Rashall Salmons (born December 12, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for many teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before joining the NBA, he played college basketball for the University of Miami.

John Salmons was born in Philadelphia on December 12, 1979. He grew up loving basketball.
High School Achievements
John played basketball at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. In 1997, his team won the state championship. He was a fantastic scorer, reaching over 1,000 points during his high school career.
Playing for the Miami Hurricanes
After high school, John played college basketball at the University of Miami. He was a starter for all four years. He even started 107 games in a row, which was almost the longest streak in the school's history! John was the first player at the University of Miami to achieve some amazing stats. He scored over 1,000 points, grabbed over 600 rebounds, made over 400 assists, and got over 150 steals.
