John Peter Moylett (born September 10, 1956) is better known as Johnnie Fingers. He is an Irish musician who plays the keyboard. He helped start the famous new wave band, the Boomtown Rats. People often remember him for wearing striped pyjamas on stage. They also loved his beautiful piano playing style.

Discovering Johnnie Fingers' Early Life
Johnnie grew up in a big family. Many of his relatives were actors, artists, and musicians. His cousin, Pete Briquette, also played in The Boomtown Rats. They are both nephews of the famous Irish conductor, Michael Bowles.
Johnnie started learning piano when he was very young. He even joked that his piano teacher, Miss Grist, "stole his youth." This was because he spent so much time practicing.
Life After The Boomtown Rats
The Boomtown Rats band broke up in 1986. After that, Johnnie started a new band called Gung~Ho. He formed it in 1987 with Simon Crowe, another member from The Boomtown Rats, and Yoko Kurokawa.
Today, Johnnie is married and has two children. The Boomtown Rats got back together in 2013. However, Johnnie did not rejoin the band. This is because he lives far away in Tokyo, Japan.
