Jollyville is a neighborhood in the northern part of Austin, Texas, United States. In 2010, it was known as a census-designated place (CDP). A CDP is a special area set up by the government for counting people. Jollyville was located in Travis and Williamson counties. Since 2010, the city of Austin has taken over Jollyville, making it a part of Austin. In 2010, about 16,151 people lived there.

The Jollyville area was first settled by Henry Rhodes. He received a land grant in 1841. This grant gave him about 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) of land from the Republic of Texas.

The name "Jollyville" came from a later settler, John G. Jolly. He bought 160 acres (0.65 km2) in 1866. John and his wife, Nancy Isabell Jolly, ran a blacksmith shop and a store. The Jolly family also gave land for a school and a cemetery. They were later buried in this cemetery.

For many years, only a few families lived in Jollyville. In 1960, there were only about twenty families. But as the nearby city of Austin grew, Jollyville also started to grow. It became a suburban community, with more homes and people moving in.

The area covers about 5.9 square miles (15.3 km2). All of this land is dry land; there are no large bodies of water within its boundaries.
