Story of the Film
Sieger is a fifteen-year-old boy. He lives with his dad, Theo, and his brother, Eddy. Eddy is sad about their mom's death and often argues with their dad.
Sieger is on the local athletics team with his best friend, Stef. Sieger, Stef, and two other boys, Tom and Marc, are chosen for a big relay race. They need to train very hard to win.
One day, the boys go swimming in a river. After Stef and Tom leave, Sieger and Marc share a special moment. Sieger feels confused by this. Marc says it's okay, and Sieger goes home. Even after this, Sieger and Marc stay good friends.
Later, Stef starts dating a girl named Kim. Sieger feels like he should also have a girlfriend. He starts spending time with Kim's best friend, Jessica. This makes Sieger try to hide his true feelings for Marc.
The athletics team goes on a training trip for a weekend. On the first night, Sieger sneaks out. Marc follows him to the beach. They spend the night together, feeling very close.
When they get back home, Sieger, Jessica, Stef, and Kim go to a fair. Marc sees them there and wants to join. But Sieger is worried that his secret will come out. He tries to ignore Marc. Sieger wins a stuffed animal for Jessica. Jessica then gives Sieger a kiss. This makes Marc feel confused and hurt.
A few days later, Sieger tries to make things right with Marc. They agree to go swimming that evening. But Sieger's dad and brother get into a fight. Eddy was fired from his job and has been riding motorbikes. His dad takes the motorbike away.
Sieger tries to get Eddy to come home instead of going to the river. Eddy won't listen but offers Sieger a ride in a car. On the way, they almost hit Marc, who is on his bike. Marc asks Sieger why he didn't show up. Sieger is afraid to talk to Marc and walks away.
On the day of the relay race, Sieger simply says "sorry" to Marc. Marc is waiting for a real explanation, but it doesn't come. He tells Sieger to go back to his "act." Even so, their team wins the race.
Sieger, Eddy, Theo, and Stef celebrate with dinner at Sieger's house. Theo gives Eddy his motorbike back. Stef tells Sieger that he knows about Sieger and Marc. He says they make a good team. At dinner, Theo sees Sieger is quiet. He asks if Sieger is okay. Sieger says "no" and rides away on the motorbike.
The last scene shows Sieger driving Eddy's motorbike. Marc is on the back, holding onto him. The movie ends with Sieger on a journey of understanding himself. They are together and seem happy.
