Jorgina Alexandra Porter (born 25 December 1987) is an English actress and model. She is best known for playing the character Theresa McQueen in the popular Channel 4 TV series Hollyoaks. She has also appeared on several reality TV shows.

Early Life and Training

Jorgie Porter was born on Christmas Day, 1987, in Trafford, Greater Manchester. She was raised by her mother and grandmother.

From a young age, Jorgie was a talented ballet dancer. She later decided to focus on acting and drama, attending The Hammond School in Chester to train as a performer.

Acting Career

Starring in Hollyoaks

In 2008, at the age of 20, Jorgie joined the cast of the TV show Hollyoaks. She played the role of Theresa McQueen, a member of one of the show's most famous families. Jorgie said she was very excited to get the part. Her character became very popular with viewers.

In 2010, she joined eight other actresses from different TV shows to record a charity song. They sang a new version of "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Jorgie decided to leave Hollyoaks in 2013 to try new things. However, she returned to the show in April 2014. She left again in 2016 but made a permanent return in 2020, and she continues to play Theresa McQueen.

Jorgie has been a contestant on many popular reality shows.

In 2012, she competed in the seventh series of Dancing on Ice, a show where celebrities learn to figure skate. Paired with professional skater Matt Evers, she impressed the judges and the audience with her skills. She made it all the way to the final and finished in second place.

In 2014, she returned to the ice for a special 'All Stars' series of Dancing On Ice. She was paired with skater Sylvain Longchambon, but they were the first couple voted off the show.

The following year, in 2015, Jorgie took part in the fifteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. On the show, she lived in a jungle camp in Australia and faced different challenges. She was popular with viewers and finished in 5th place.

Over the years, she has also appeared on shows like Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Haunted Mansion, and Hollyoaks Does Come Dine with Me.

Other Work

Besides acting, Jorgie has worked as a model and presenter. She was the face of an advertising campaign for the skincare brand Proactiv. She also worked as a presenter for the Nintendo Girls Club, creating videos about Nintendo games.

In 2016, she acted in a special episode of the classic comedy series Are You Being Served?, playing the character Miss Croft.

Personal life

Jorgie Porter is engaged to her partner, Oliver Piotrowski. In 2021, the couple shared the sad news that they had experienced a miscarriage.

In June 2022, Jorgie announced she was pregnant again. She gave birth to a son named Forest in November 2022. In May 2024, she announced she was expecting her second child. She gave birth to a daughter named Peony in December 2024.
