Josef Šural was a talented football player from the Czech Republic. He was born on May 30, 1990, in Hustopeče, which was then part of Czechoslovakia. Josef sadly passed away on April 29, 2019. He played as a forward, which means his main job was to score goals for his team.
Playing Career
Josef Šural started his football journey in his home country. He played for several well-known Czech clubs during his career.
Club Teams
Josef began his professional career with Brno. He then moved to Slovan Liberec, where he played for five years. After that, he joined Sparta Praha, one of the biggest clubs in the Czech Republic.
In early 2019, Josef moved to Turkey to play for the club Alanyaspor. This was his first time playing for a team outside of his home country.
National Team
Josef also had the honor of playing for his country, the Czech Republic. He played for the national team 20 times between 2013 and 2019. He scored one goal for his country.
He was also part of the Czech Republic squad that played in a major international tournament. This was the UEFA Euro 2016, where top European teams compete.
His Passing
On April 29, 2019, a very sad accident occurred. Josef Šural and some of his teammates were traveling in a minibus near the Turkish coastal town of Alanya. The minibus overturned.
Josef was taken to the hospital right away, but he sadly died from his injuries. Seven other players were also hurt in the accident, but their injuries were not life-threatening.
