Joseph Bramlett's Golf Journey
Early Life and College Golf
Joseph Bramlett grew up in California. He went to St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California. After high school, he attended Stanford University for four years. He played golf for Stanford, which helped him prepare for a professional career.
Turning Professional
Bramlett became a professional golfer in 2010. That same year, he earned his PGA Tour card. This means he qualified to play in the PGA Tour's main events. He was the first biracial African American golfer to achieve this through the qualifying school since 1985.
Playing on Different Tours
After his first year on the PGA Tour in 2011, Joseph lost his tour card. He then played on the Korn Ferry Tour, which is like a stepping stone to the PGA Tour. He worked hard and qualified for the PGA Tour again in 2019.
Big Wins and Achievements
In 2021, Joseph Bramlett won the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. This big win helped him get back onto the PGA Tour. He also had a great performance at the 2022 U.S. Open, finishing in 37th place. Throughout his career, he has achieved four top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour.
