Joseph Tisiga, born in 1984, is a talented artist who works in many different ways. He is a member of the Kaska Dena Nation. Today, he lives and creates art in Montreal, Quebec.

Joseph Tisiga's Artistic Creations
Joseph Tisiga creates art using many different methods. He does performance art, takes photos, makes sculptures, and builds art installations. But at the heart of all his work are painting and drawing.
His art often explores big ideas. He looks at who we are (identity), what we learn from our families and culture, everyday life, and even myths and deep, mysterious thoughts.
Joseph wrote an interesting essay in 2017 called "The Working Life of a Cultural Amnesiac." In it, he explained how his art is connected to his own family history and experiences.
