Joshua Sutton Huestis (born December 19, 1991) is an American former professional basketball player. He used to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before turning pro, he played college basketball for Stanford University.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Josh Huestis was born on December 19, 1991. He grew up in Webster, Texas. When he was in high school, he attended Charles M. Russell High School. This school is located in Great Falls, MT.
Experts thought Josh was a promising player. In 2010, he was ranked as one of the top power forwards in the country.
College Basketball Career at Stanford
Josh Huestis played college basketball for four years. He attended Stanford University. During his time there, he played 135 games. He averaged 7.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He also blocked 1.4 shots per game.
Josh was known for his strong defense. He was named to the Pac-12 Defensive Team twice. This happened during his junior and senior years. He also received an honorable mention for the Pac-12 Defensive Team as a sophomore. In 2014, he was even named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.
During the 2013–14 season, Josh scored 10 or more points in 19 games. He led Stanford in rebounds, getting 8.2 per game. He also led the team in blocks, with 1.9 per game. By the end of his college career, Josh Huestis became Stanford's all-time leader in blocked shots.
Professional Basketball Journey
Starting with Oklahoma City Blue (2014–2015)
On June 26, 2014, Josh Huestis was chosen in the 2014 NBA draft. The Oklahoma City Thunder picked him as the 29th overall player. He then joined the Thunder for the 2014 NBA Summer League.
However, he started his professional career with the Oklahoma City Blue. This team is part of the NBA Development League. On November 14, 2014, he played his first professional game. He scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds. In the 2014–15 season, he played 46 games for the Blue. He averaged 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He did not play any games for the Thunder that season.
Playing for Oklahoma City Thunder (2015–2018)
On July 30, 2015, Josh Huestis officially signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He made his NBA debut on March 24, 2016. He scored three points in a game against the Utah Jazz. On April 16, he played in his first NBA playoff game.
During his first two seasons, Josh often played for the Oklahoma City Blue. This was part of a plan to help him develop his skills. He was one of the first players to be drafted by an NBA team and then sent to their minor league team in the U.S. instead of playing overseas. In the 2017–18 season, Josh played in 69 games. He became a regular player in the Thunder's rotation.
Time with Austin Spurs (2018–2019)
After leaving the Thunder, Josh Huestis signed with the San Antonio Spurs on October 9, 2018. However, he was waived by them two days later. He then signed with their G League team, the Austin Spurs. He was part of their training camp and opening night roster.
Later, in December 2019, his player rights were traded. The Rio Grande Valley Vipers acquired his rights from the Austin Spurs.
Playing in Europe with Bayern Munich (2019–2020)
On July 24, 2019, Josh Huestis moved to Europe. He joined Bayern Munich, a basketball team in Germany. He played for them until March 10, 2020, when he left the team.
Final Stop with Cleveland Charge (2021–2022)
On October 23, 2021, Josh Huestis signed with the Cleveland Charge. This team is also part of the NBA G League. He played for them until 2022.
