Early Life and High School Sports
Josh Johnson grew up in Dade City, Florida. He went to Pasco High School. In high school, he was a star athlete. He played both football and baseball.
In football, he was a first-team All-Sun Coast player. He caught 32 passes for 466 yards. He also scored nine touchdowns. His team even made it to the state semifinals.
In baseball, he was also very good. He was named one of the top 100 junior players in the country. He led the Tampa Bay area in home runs.
After high school, Josh chose to attend Purdue. He received a scholarship to play football there.
College Football Career
At Purdue, Josh Johnson played in 49 games. He started 36 of those games. He was a strong defensive player.
