José Ramón de la Morena Pozuelo (born in 1956 in Brunete, Madrid) is a famous Spanish journalist. He is well-known for his work on the radio. He studied information science and became the director and host of the radio show El Transistor on the Onda Cero radio network.

José Ramón de la Morena's Radio Journey

José Ramón de la Morena started his career as a journalist at Radio Intercontinental. In 1981, he moved to the sports section of the Cadena SER radio station. There, he reported on many exciting sports events.

He covered major tournaments like the football World Cup and the La Liga football league. He also reported on famous cycling races, such as the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. On September 3, 1989, he began working on the popular radio show El Larguero.

Over time, more and more people started listening to El Larguero. By the mid-1990s, his show became more popular than its main competitor, Supergarcía, on the COPE network. El Larguero became the most listened-to sports show in Spain. It was broadcast every night from midnight to 1:30 a.m.
