Juan Antonio 'Tuto' Sañudo Herrero (born June 13, 1956) is a Spanish former professional football player. He was known for playing as a central defender, which is a player who helps protect the team's goal. Sañudo spent most of his career playing for two main clubs in Spain: Racing Santander and Real Oviedo.

Playing Football
Juan Antonio Sañudo was born in the village of Serdio, in Val de San Vicente, Spain. He started his football journey in youth teams before becoming a professional player.
Top League Success
Sañudo played in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league, for ten seasons. He played a total of 304 matches in this league. He spent many years with Racing de Santander, joining them in 1978.
He made his first appearance in Spain's top league on January 7, 1979. His team, Racing Santander, won that game 3–1 against Valencia CF. Just a few weeks later, he scored two goals in one match, helping his team beat FC Barcelona 2–1.
In the 1985–86 season, Sañudo was voted the best defender in La Liga. This was a big achievement for him and his club.
Later Career and Retirement
Sañudo also played in the UEFA Cup, which is a European club competition. He played one match in this competition in 1991 for Real Oviedo.
He also played in the Segunda División, which is Spain's second-highest league, with both Racing Santander and Real Oviedo. He helped Racing Santander get promoted back to the top league for the third time in his career.
Sañudo retired from playing football at the end of the 1992–93 season, when he was 37 years old.
Life After Playing
After he stopped playing football, Sañudo worked in different jobs. He became an insurance agent and also worked in lodging. He also provided commentary for Racing Santander's matches on a radio station called Cadena COPE.
In 2014, Juan Antonio Sañudo became the chairman (president) of Racing Santander. The club was going through a difficult time with money and organization. He held this position for about a year and a half before another former player, Manolo Higuera, took over.
