Juan Bordes, also known as Juan Bordes Caballero, was born on July 15, 1948, in Gran Canaria, Spain. He is a talented Spanish sculptor who is especially good at creating art that looks like people. Juan Bordes has also written many books, helped organize events, and had his amazing artwork shown in exhibitions.

About Juan Bordes
Early Life and Education
Juan Bordes was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, on July 15, 1948. When he was young, from 1957 to 1960, he took sculpture classes. These classes were at the School of Las Palmas Luján Pérez, where he learned from Abraham Cárdenas.
Later, from 1965 to 1972, he moved to Madrid to continue his studies. He attended the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSA). He also studied at the School of Ceramics Moncloa and took life drawing classes at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.
Teaching and Research
In 1976, Juan Bordes began teaching at ETSA Madrid. He became a professor of Architectural Composition there in 1988. He also earned a special degree called a PhD in 1986 from the University of Madrid. His research was about how sculpture is used in buildings.
Special Recognitions
Juan Bordes is a respected member of several important art groups. He is a Corresponding Member of the Real Academia Canaria de Bellas Artes de San Miguel Arcángel. He is also an academician of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. He has received special grants, called fellowships, from CINFE and from the Academia Española in Rome.
