Juanfernandezia is a very small group of spiders. It is a monotypic genus, which means it only has one known species: Juanfernandezia melanocephala. These tiny creatures are a type of dwarf spider.

About Juanfernandezia Spiders
Dwarf spiders are among the smallest spiders in the world. They are often less than 6 millimeters (about a quarter of an inch) long. They get their name because of their tiny size.
Discovery of Juanfernandezia
The Juanfernandezia genus was first described by scientists A. Ö. Koçak and M. Kemal in 2008. This means they were the first to officially name and classify this group of spiders.
Where Do These Spiders Live?
So far, the only place where Juanfernandezia melanocephala has been found is in Chile, a country in South America. This makes them a unique part of Chile's wildlife.
