Julia Francesca Barretto Baldivia (born March 10, 1997), known as Julia Barretto, is a Filipino actress, model, and business owner. She is famous for her main roles in romantic comedies and dramas.
Julia started acting when she was a child. She appeared in many TV shows. She has also starred in popular movies like Vince and Kath and James (2016) and Love You to the Stars and Back (2017). She has won several awards, including three Box Office Entertainment Awards. She was also nominated for an Asian Television Awards. Julia is also part of the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.

Early life
Julia Barretto was born on March 10, 1997. Her parents are actors Dennis Padilla and Marjorie Barretto. She has siblings from both her parents.
Julia is part of the Barretto family. This family is well-known in entertainment. Actresses Claudine Barretto and Gretchen Barretto are also part of her family.
She finished grade school at Miriam College in Quezon City in 2011. She then graduated from high school at St. Paul College in Pasig in 2015.
Career
Starting out and becoming known (2006–2014)
Julia Barretto began her acting journey as a child. Her first TV show was Gulong ng Palad in 2006. After playing small roles, she became famous as Anna in the fantasy series Kokey (2007). The next year, she appeared in the action drama Palos.
She also appeared in many episodes of popular TV shows. These included Wansapanataym and Maalaala Mo Kaya. In 2011, she attended the Star Magic Ball. The next year, she was named "Princess of the Night."
In 2013, Julia joined the "Star Magic Circle." This group included other rising stars like Liza Soberano and Janella Salvador. She got her first main role in the TV drama Mirabella (2014). This show was very popular. It was the fourth most-watched TV show during its run. Its final episode had a high viewership of 27.3%. In the same year, Julia received a German Moreno Youth Achievement Award.
Becoming a big star (2015–2019)
In May 2015, Julia starred in her first movie, Para sa Hopeless Romantic. This teen romance film earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Later that year, she starred in the TV drama And I Love You So.
Julia took on more roles in romantic comedies and dramas. In December 2016, she starred in Vince and Kath and James. This movie was a big hit. It earned ₱123 million at the Philippine box office.
After their successful movie, Julia and Joshua Garcia starred together again. Their next film was Love You to the Stars and Back. Critics praised this movie. It earned ₱112 million in the Philippines. Julia's acting in this film also earned her nominations for Best Actress.
In 2017, Julia and Joshua teamed up for a third movie. They starred in Unexpectedly Yours with Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla. This film was even more successful. It earned ₱249 million worldwide.
In August 2018, the pair made their TV series debut in Ngayon at Kailanman. This show was always a top-rated program. Its final episode reached a high national TV rating of 34.7%. The same year, Julia and Joshua starred with Kris Aquino in the movie I Love You, Hater.
In May 2019, Julia starred in the romance drama Between Maybes. This was her first project without Joshua Garcia in over two years. Julia has been nominated many times for "Movie Loveteam of the Year."
Continued success (2020–present)
In January 2020, Julia starred in the zombie thriller film Block Z. The film did well at the box office. It also had the most first-day sign-ups when it became available online. In February 2020, she starred in the online series I Am U.
In September 2020, Julia joined Viva Artists Agency. In February 2022, she starred in the horror film Bahay na Pula. In September 2022, Julia starred with Carlo Aquino in the romantic drama Expensive Candy.
In 2023, Julia was featured on the cover of Preview Magazine. In November, she became the new calendar girl for the liquor brand Tanduay.
In 2024, Julia starred in the web series Secret Ingredient. She worked with Korean actor Sang Heon Lee and Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra. She was nominated for Best Leading Female in a Digital Series for her role.
Julia reunited with Joshua Garcia in 2024 for the movie Un/Happy for You. This romantic drama was a huge success at the box office.
Business endeavours
Julia Barretto started her own accessory brand called The Juju Club in November 2021. This brand sells items like retro clips, hats, eyewear, and rings.
