Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino (born February 14, 1971) is a Filipino television presenter, actress, and film producer. She is often called the "Queen of All Media" in the Philippines. Kris Aquino has hosted many talk shows and game shows. She has also starred in several movies and TV series.
Kris Aquino is the youngest daughter of Benigno Aquino Jr. and Corazon Aquino. Her mother, Corazon Aquino, was the 11th president of the Philippines. Her brother, Benigno Aquino III, was the 15th President of the Philippines from 2010 to 2016.
She is known for her roles in horror films like Feng Shui and Sukob. These were very popular movies in 2004 and 2006. She also appeared as Princess Intan in the movie Crazy Rich Asians. Kris Aquino is also a well-known product endorser and helps with many causes. These include raising awareness for lupus, supporting children's rights, and promoting arts and culture.

Early Life and School
Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino was born in Quezon City, Philippines. Her parents were Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino and Benigno Aquino Jr.. At the time, her father was a senator. Kris is the youngest of five children. Her siblings are Maria Elena, Aurora Corazon, Benigno S. Aquino III, and Victoria Elisa.
When she was a baby, her father was arrested and put in jail. Her mother raised Kris and her siblings. When Kris was seven, she spoke at campaign rallies for her jailed father. She was even featured in The New York Times and Time Magazine.
Kris spent most of her elementary school years in the United States. Her family lived there for a while. When she was 12, her father was sadly killed. Kris returned to the Philippines and joined rallies against the government at that time.
After the Philippine Revolution of 1986, Kris started appearing on TV shows. She made her first movie, Pido Dida, which was a big hit. She also starred in several crime films.
Kris finished elementary school at Poveda Learning Center in Quezon City. She went to high school at Colegio San Agustin-Makati. After high school, she studied at the Ateneo de Manila University. She earned a degree in English Literature in 1992.
Television Career
Kris Aquino became a popular TV host. She started with a showbiz talk show called Kris. Later, she co-hosted Startalk with Boy Abunda. Her hosting skills became very well-known.
She then joined ABS-CBN and hosted the morning talk show Today with Kris Aquino. She also hosted The Buzz and the game show Game KNB?. From 2002 to 2004, she hosted Morning Girls with Kris and Korina.
In 2007, Kris took a short break from TV when her second son was born. She also hosted the Philippine version of Deal or No Deal. She even appeared on the US version of the show.
Other shows she hosted include Boy & Kris and Wheel of Fortune. In 2011, she hosted Kris TV, a lifestyle talk show. This show ran until 2016. She also hosted the Filipino version of The Price is Right.
Film Career
Kris Aquino started her film career with Regal Films. Her first movie was Pido Dida: Sabay Tayo in 1990. This movie was very successful. She later starred in films based on true crime stories.
In 2002, she won an award for her role in Mano Po. In 2004, she starred in Feng Shui, a horror film. It was the highest-grossing Filipino movie of 2004. In 2006, another horror film, Sukob, became the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.

Health Journey
Kris Aquino has been open about her health challenges. In 2018, she was diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria. This is a condition that causes hives. She later shared that she has other autoimmune conditions.
In June 2022, she shared that she was diagnosed with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. This is a rare condition that affects blood vessels. She moved to the United States to get treatment for her health.
As of October 2023, Kris Aquino is living in Orange County, California. In early 2024, she shared that her health journey continues. She has several autoimmune diseases and is receiving ongoing medical care. In February 2025, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. By April 2025, she shared that she has a total of nine autoimmune diseases. She continues to receive treatment for her conditions.
Personal Life
Kris Aquino has two sons. Her older son, Joshua, was born in 1994. Her second son, James Carlos "Bimby" Aquino Yap Jr., was born in 2007.
She was married to professional basketball player James Yap. Their marriage was later declared null and void. In October 2021, Kris announced her engagement to former politician Mel Senen Sarmiento. However, they decided to call off their engagement in January 2022. In June 2024, Kris and Bimby confirmed that Kris is in a new relationship with Dr. Michael Padlan.
Business Ventures
Besides her career in TV and movies, Kris Aquino also owns and manages several businesses. She co-owns Lena Restaurant and Sencillo, a Mexican restaurant. She also has Roberto Antonio, a flower shop.
She founded an agency called MAD with her business partners. Kris also co-owns Sierra Madre Water. She owns several fast food franchises, including Jollibee and Chowking. She also owns Nacho Bimby, a company named after her youngest son.
Kris Aquino was also the executive editor of K! The Kris Aquino Magazine. In 2009, she launched her home collection called K Everyday. This collection includes cooking items, kitchenware, and stationery.

In 2013, Kris Aquino started her own film and television production company called Kris Aquino Productions (K Productions). This company is managed by Star Cinema. Star Cinema is one of the biggest movie companies in the Philippines.
K Productions' first film was Instant Mommy. Kris also produced her son Bimby's first movie, My Little Bossings, in 2013. Before starting K Productions, she had already co-produced some Star Cinema films she starred in. These include Dalaw (2010), Segunda Mano (2011), and Sisterakas (2012).
