Wen Junhui (born June 10, 1996), who is better known by his stage name Jun, is a Chinese singer, dancer, and actor. He is famous for being a member of the popular South Korean boy band Seventeen. He works in both South Korea and his home country of China.
Before joining Seventeen, Jun was a child actor. He starred in several movies, including The Pye Dog (2007) and The Legend Is Born: Ip Man (2010). In 2023, he returned to acting as the main star in the show Exclusive Fairytale.
Besides his work with Seventeen, Jun has also released his own songs in Chinese, his native language. His songs "Limbo" and "Psycho" have been very successful. He even won the New Singer-Songwriter of the Year award at the Tencent Music Entertainment Awards for "Limbo."

Early Life and Dreams
Wen Junhui was born on June 10, 1996, in Shenzhen, China. As a child, he learned wushu, a type of Chinese martial art. He dreamed of becoming a martial arts actor like his hero, Jackie Chan. Jun also learned to play the piano and sometimes performs his own versions of Seventeen's songs.
Career Journey
From Child Actor to Teen Star
Jun started his career very early. When he was only two years old, he was in his first commercial. At age five, he appeared in the TV show Dragon Laws.
His role in the 2007 movie The Pye Dog earned him a "New Performer of the Year" award from the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild Awards. He was also nominated for Best New Performer at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2010, he played the younger version of the famous martial artist Ip Man in the movie The Legend Is Born: Ip Man.
Becoming a Member of Seventeen
In 2012, Jun moved to South Korea to train with Pledis Entertainment. For three years, he practiced dancing and singing to prepare for his debut. He appeared on shows like Seventeen TV with his future bandmates.
On May 26, 2015, he officially debuted as Jun, a member of the boy band Seventeen. The group is split into three units, and Jun is part of the "performance team," which focuses on dancing. The group's first mini-album, 17 Carat, was released just three days after their debut.
In 2018, Jun and his bandmate The8 competed in a Chinese music show called Chao Yin Zhan Ji. Jun won the first solo competition on the show with his performance of "Wo Ming Bai," a Chinese version of Seventeen's song "Thanks." He even wrote the Chinese lyrics himself.
Going Solo and Other Projects
Jun began releasing his own music in 2018 with the song "Can You Sit By My Side." In 2021, he released two more singles, "Crow" and "Silent Boarding Gate." "Crow" was so popular that it appeared on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, which was a huge achievement for him as a solo artist.
In 2022, he released the single "Limbo" in both Korean and Chinese. A year later, he released another hit single, "Psycho." For his music, he won the "New Singer-Songwriter of the Year" award at the Tencent Music Entertainment Awards in 2023.
Jun returned to acting in 2023 with the lead role in the drama Exclusive Fairytale. His performance won him the Rising Star of the Year Award at the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards.
In August 2024, it was announced that Jun would take a break from some of Seventeen's activities to focus on acting in China. He later starred in the movie The Shadow's Edge with the famous actor Jackie Chan.
Brand Ambassador
Jun's popularity has led him to become a brand ambassador for several companies.
