Early Life and Dreams

Wen Junhui was born on June 10, 1996, in Shenzhen, China. As a child, he learned wushu, a type of Chinese martial art. He dreamed of becoming a martial arts actor like his hero, Jackie Chan. Jun also learned to play the piano and sometimes performs his own versions of Seventeen's songs.

Career Journey

From Child Actor to Teen Star

Jun started his career very early. When he was only two years old, he was in his first commercial. At age five, he appeared in the TV show Dragon Laws.

He was also nominated for Best New Performer at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2010, he played the younger version of the famous martial artist Ip Man in the movie The Legend Is Born: Ip Man.

Becoming a Member of Seventeen

In 2012, Jun moved to South Korea to train with Pledis Entertainment. For three years, he practiced dancing and singing to prepare for his debut. He appeared on shows like Seventeen TV with his future bandmates.

On May 26, 2015, he officially debuted as Jun, a member of the boy band Seventeen. The group is split into three units, and Jun is part of the "performance team," which focuses on dancing. The group's first mini-album, 17 Carat, was released just three days after their debut.

In 2018, Jun and his bandmate The8 competed in a Chinese music show called Chao Yin Zhan Ji. Jun won the first solo competition on the show with his performance of "Wo Ming Bai," a Chinese version of Seventeen's song "Thanks." He even wrote the Chinese lyrics himself.
