Héctor Junior Firpo Adames (born on August 22, 1996), known as Junior Firpo, is a professional footballer. He plays as a left-back for the La Liga club Real Betis. He also plays for the Dominican Republic national team. Junior holds Spanish citizenship and played for Spain's youth teams.

Club Career Highlights
Starting at Real Betis
Junior Firpo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. When he was six years old, he moved to Benalmádena, Spain. In June 2014, at 18, he joined Real Betis' youth academy. He started playing for their reserve team, Betis B, on February 15, 2015.
He became a regular player for the B-team in the 2015–16 season. Junior scored his first goal for the senior team on April 17, 2016. On August 1, 2017, he signed a new contract with Betis. He made his first team debut in La Liga on February 12, 2018. This made him the first player born in the Dominican Republic to play in La Liga.
Junior scored his first professional goal on March 17, 2018, in a 3–0 win against Espanyol. In August, he joined the main squad and extended his contract until 2023.
Moving to Barcelona
On August 4, 2019, Junior Firpo signed a five-year deal with Barcelona. He made his debut three weeks later in a 5–2 win against his old club, Betis. On September 28, Junior scored his first goal for Barcelona in a 2–0 win against Getafe. He also played his first UEFA Champions League game on November 27.
On February 13, 2021, Firpo scored his second and final goal for Barcelona. It was in a 5–1 home win against Alavés.
Time at Leeds United
On July 6, 2021, Firpo joined Premier League club Leeds United on a four-year deal. He became the first Dominican player to play in the Premier League. He made his debut for Leeds on August 14.
He scored his first goal for Leeds in an FA Cup match on January 28, 2023. On February 25, 2023, Firpo scored his first Premier League goal. It was the winning goal in a 1–0 match against Southampton.
In the 2023–24 season, Junior became the main left-back for Leeds. He helped the team by assisting four goals in three league games. Firpo had a great 2024–25 EFL Championship season with Leeds United. He scored four goals and made 10 assists. This helped the team get promoted back to the Premier League.
Returning to Betis
On July 17, 2025, Junior Firpo agreed to return to Betis. He signed a three-year contract with the club.
International Career
Junior Firpo was born in the Dominican Republic but has lived most of his life in Spain. He has citizenship for both countries. In 2015, he played in a friendly match for the Dominican Republic national team.
On August 31, 2018, Junior was called to play for the Spain under-21 team. He made his debut on September 7, helping Spain win 3–0.
On February 28, 2024, Junior announced he would play for the Dominican Republic national team. He made his official debut for them on March 23, 2024, in a friendly game against Aruba. He has scored four goals for the Dominican Republic national team as of July 2025.
