Junya Tanaka (田中 順也, Tanaka Jun'ya, born 15 July 1987) is a Japanese professional footballer. He was born on July 15, 1987, in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan. Junya Tanaka plays as a forward or midfielder. He currently plays for FC Gifu.

Junya Tanaka's Football Journey
Junya Tanaka started his football career while still in college. He played for Kashiwa Reysol in 2009. He was a special player during his final year at Juntendo University.
Playing for Top Clubs
After playing for Reysol for almost six years, Junya Tanaka moved to Europe. On June 29, 2014, he signed a five-year deal with Primeira Liga club Sporting CP in Portugal. He played for Sporting CP for two years.
In 2016, he returned to Kashiwa Reysol on loan. Later, from 2017 to 2021, he played for Vissel Kobe. Since 2022, he has been playing for FC Gifu. Junya Tanaka has also played for the Japanese national team.
Life Outside Football
Junya Tanaka is also a family man. On December 21, 2013, he married a model named Manami Ui. They welcomed their first child on July 16, 2014.
