Jyrki Pekka Emil Linnankivi (born October 15, 1968), known as Jyrki 69, is a singer from Finland. He is the lead singer of the gothic rock band The 69 Eyes. When the band first started, their music was more like glam metal. Later, they changed their style to gothic rock. The band often calls their music "goth'n'roll".
Jyrki's voice is deep and powerful. It sounds a bit like other famous singers such as Peter Steele and Andrew Eldritch. He has also been inspired by artists like Elvis Presley and David Bowie. Jyrki has written most of the lyrics for his band's songs.

Music Career
Jyrki 69 has been making music since 1989. He is best known for his work with The 69 Eyes. But he has also worked on other exciting projects.
Early Projects
In 1996, Jyrki started a band called The Fellow Reptiles. He worked with Claude, the singer from the Finnish band Smack. They released an EP, which is a short album. They planned to make a full album together. Sadly, Claude passed away in 1996, and the band broke up.
Guest Appearances
Jyrki has also sung on other artists' songs. In 2002, he sang on the song "Lyrics of Poison" for the band Kwan. In 2007, he was a guest singer on Maryslim's album A Perfect Mess. He sang on their cover of "This Corrosion" by The Sisters of Mercy. He even appeared in the music video for the song.
The 69 Cats
In 2013, Jyrki formed a new rock band called The 69 Cats. He teamed up with Danny B. Harvey and Chopper Franklin. Their first album, Transylvanian Tapes, came out in 2014.
Other Collaborations
In 2015, Jyrki worked with a band called Heathen Apostles. They created a four-song EP called Evil Spirits. This EP featured a style of music known as gothic country.

UNICEF Ambassador
In 2005, Jyrki became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Finland. This means he helps UNICEF, a special part of the United Nations. UNICEF works to help children around the world.

In 2006, Jyrki received a TOYP award. This award is given by Junior Chamber International (JCI). It honors young people who have done great things. He received this award in Seoul, South Korea. In 2024, he received another award from Tapaseura ry. This award is for adults who are good role models. They encourage others to be kind and act in positive ways.
Comics and Lifestyle
Jyrki loves to draw and read Marvel Comics. In 2006, a comic book called Zombie Love was published. It only featured Jyrki's own comic drawings. Only 1,000 copies were made, and Jyrki numbered each one. He gave copy number 666 to fellow musician Glenn Danzig. Since 2014, Jyrki has also been a vegan. This means he does not eat any animal products.
