Kaijudo is an exciting American animated TV show that started in 2012. It's also a fun trading card game! This show is like a new version of the Japanese Duel Masters series. Hasbro Studios made the TV show, and Moi Animation in South Korea helped bring it to life. Henry Gilroy and Andrew R. Robinson developed it for Wizards of the Coast.
Before Kaijudo, there was another show called Duel Masters from Japan. Hasbro made an English version of that show in 2004. They also made a special second season just for America. Wizards of the Coast also launched a Duel Masters Trading Card Game in the U.S. around the same time. That game stopped being made in 2006.
Kaijudo first aired on the Hub Network on June 2, 2012. The card game came out later that month, on June 26, 2012. The Kaijudo TV show ended after its second season in 2013. The whole Kaijudo series was stopped in 2014.
What Is Kaijudo About?
The story of Kaijudo follows a young boy named Ray Okamoto. Ray lives in a place called San Campion. He has a very special and rare power. Ray can summon amazing, fantastical creatures from a parallel dimension. He can even duel, or battle, alongside them!
Ray and his two best friends, Allie and Gabe, join a secret group. This group is called the Duel Masters. Their important job is to make sure that both the human world and the creatures' world stay safe. They work to keep peace between the two different kinds of beings.
