Oded Fehr (born November 23, 1970) is an actor from Israel. He now lives and works in the United States. He is famous for playing Ardeth Bay in the movies The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns. He also played Carlos Olivera in the Resident Evil films.
You might also know him as Zankou, a demon in the TV show Charmed. He was also Eyal Lavin, a Mossad agent, in Covert Affairs. More recently, he has been the voice of Osiris in the Destiny 2 video game. Since 2020, Fehr has played Fleet Admiral Charles Vance in Star Trek: Discovery.

Early Life and Training
Oded Fehr was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. His mother, Gila, was a day care supervisor. His father, Uri, was a geophysicist and marketing executive. A geophysicist studies the Earth using physics. His parents came from Jewish families in Europe.
Before becoming an actor, Oded served in the Israeli Navy. He was a sailor from 1989 to 1992. He also worked in security for the Israeli airline El Al. He later studied acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England.
Acting Career
Director Stephen Sommers chose Oded Fehr for the popular movies The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. These roles made him well-known.
He has appeared in many TV shows and movies. He was in the TV series UC: Undercover and Presidio Med. He also played Carlos Olivera in the movies Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction.
From 2004 to 2005, Fehr played the main villain, Zankou, in the TV show Charmed. He was also in the Showtime series Sleeper Cell from 2005 to 2006.
From 2010 to 2014, he had a recurring role as Mossad Agent Eyal Lavine in Covert Affairs. In 2013, he was a guest star in NCIS as an Israeli Mossad assistant director.
Oded Fehr returned to the Resident Evil series in 2012 for Resident Evil: Retribution. In 2019, he appeared in the CBS show Blood & Treasure. He also started his ongoing role as Admiral Vance in Star Trek: Discovery.
Personal Life
Oded Fehr married Rhonda Tollefson on December 22, 2000. They met at a Los Angeles Opera event. They have three children together. Their son, Atticus, was born in 2003. Their daughters, Finley and Azelie, were born in 2006 and 2010.
