Jason Christopher Marsden (born January 3, 1975) is an American actor, director, and producer. He is famous for his many voice roles in animated movies, TV shows, and video games. You might know his voice as Max Goof from Disney since 1995. He also voiced Haku in Spirited Away, Chester McBadbat in The Fairly OddParents, and Thackery Binx (as a cat) in the movie Hocus Pocus.

Early Life and Family
Jason Christopher Marsden was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on January 3, 1975. His mother, Linda, was a fashion model. His father, Myles Marsden, was a ballet dancer. Jason has three older half-siblings from his father's first marriage.
Acting Career
Jason Marsden started acting professionally in 1986. His first role was A. J. Quartermaine in the TV series General Hospital. When he was 12, he got a big movie role in the science fiction film Robot Jox. After that, he played Eddie Munster in the TV show The Munsters Today. He also voiced Cavin in Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
Voice Acting and Live-Action Roles
Marsden continued his career with many guest appearances on TV shows. In 1990, he was the voice of Peter Pan in Peter Pan and the Pirates. He also played Dash X in Eerie, Indiana in 1992.
He voiced the cat form of Thackery Binx in the popular movie Hocus Pocus (1993). He even returned to this role for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show.
Jason Marsden became the voice of Goofy's son, Max Goof, in Disney's A Goofy Movie (1995). He also voiced Max in the sequel An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000) and Disney's House of Mouse. He had a role in the movie White Squall (1996). He voiced Garrett Miller on Extreme Ghostbusters and younger versions of Shere Khan and King Louie in Jungle Cubs.
On TV, he played Rich Halke in Step by Step from 1995 to 1998. He was also Nelson Burkhard, D.J.'s boyfriend, in Full House. The character "Jason" on Boy Meets World was even written for him. In 1999, he was part of the gorilla family voices in Disney's Tarzan.
Since Step by Step, Marsden has voiced many characters in animated TV shows and video games. He voiced Kovu in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998). He was also Haku in the English version of Spirited Away (2001). He voiced Richie Foley/Gear in Static Shock. In the game Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, he voiced Lilarcor, a talking sword.
He has done voice work for many DC Comics animated shows. He voiced a teenage Clark Kent in Superman: The Animated Series. He was also Snapper Carr in Justice League, Billy Numerous in Teen Titans, and Firefly in The Batman. From 2003 to 2006, he voiced Chase Young in Xiaolin Showdown.
Jason Marsden also voiced Tak in the video games Tak and the Power of Juju, Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams, and Tak: The Great Juju Challenge. He voiced characters like Myron in Fallout 2 and Boone in Fallout: New Vegas.
From 2004 to 2007, Marsden was a main announcer for Toon Disney. In 2012, he voiced Noel Kreiss in Final Fantasy XIII-2. He also voiced Kade Burns in Transformers: Rescue Bots. In Young Justice, he voiced Bart Allen, who is Barry Allen's grandson from the future. He returned to voice Bart in the third season, Young Justice: Outsiders.
In 2013, he voiced Aye-Aye in The Legend of Korra. In 2014, he voiced Sumo and Belson in the pilot episode of Clarence.
Directing and Producing
Marsden directed an episode of the Nickelodeon series The Journey of Allen Strange in 1997. He also directed, wrote, produced, and edited a short film called The Greatest Short Film Ever!!!. He has also worked on indie music videos.
In 2020, Marsden started an online show on YouTube called The Mars Variety Show. It features musicians, comedians, and other performers.
Personal Life
Jason Marsden married Christy Hicks in October 2004. They divorced in 2020 after 16 years. They have one son, who was born in February 2010. Jason Marsden lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2005, Marsden and Hicks opened a Yoga studio called Yoga Blend in Burbank, California. The studio closed permanently in December 2020 due to financial problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
