Kainat Imtiaz (born June 21, 1992) is a talented Pakistani cricketer. She is known as an all-rounder, which means she is good at both batting and bowling. Kainat bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium-fast. She plays for the Pakistan national team and has also played for many local teams in Pakistan. Her mother, Saleema Imtiaz, is a cricket umpire.

Early Life and Inspiration
Kainat Imtiaz was born in Karachi, Pakistan, on June 21, 1992. She went to Aga Khan School and later Hamdard Public School. She finished her high school studies at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karachi in 2010.
A big moment in Kainat's life happened during the 2005 Women's Asia Cup in Pakistan. She met Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. Meeting Goswami inspired Kainat to become a fast bowler herself. Kainat Imtiaz got married to Mohammad Waqar Uddin on March 30, 2022.
Cricket Journey
Starting Young in Cricket
In 2007, Kainat showed her leadership skills by captaining her school team. She was also a fast bowler in a special U-17 Cricket tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board organized this tournament. Kainat was named the Player of the Tournament for her amazing performance.
That same year, she was great at other sports too. She won first place in many athletic events like running and shot-put. She then led the Karachi Team in the first-ever U-17 Women Cricket Tournament in Hyderabad.
Joining the National Camp
Kainat was chosen for the Pakistan Camp, which helps select players for the national team. She was the youngest player among the 30 chosen for the camp. In 2008, she again captained her team in the U-17 Women Cricket tournament in Lahore.
She also played in regional tournaments organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Her team won these tournaments. Kainat was then selected for the Pakistan Camp for the 2009 Women's Cricket World Cup in Australia. She was the youngest player in that squad too. After a month of training, she became a reserve player for the World Cup Team.
International Appearances and Achievements
In 2008, Kainat represented Pakistan in the Super Sixes tournament in China. She also played as a key fast bowler in a 20–20 Quadrangular Women Cricket tournament. Kainat improved her skills at the PIA Cricket Academy with help from experienced coaches.
She was part of the Pakistan team that won a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. She also won another gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.
Kainat Imtiaz was called back to the national team for matches in 2021. This happened after she played very well in local cricket games. Her strong performance helped Pakistan get ready for the Women's World Cup Qualifier. In October 2021, she was part of Pakistan's team for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe. In May 2022, she was also selected for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
