Connecting to the Singapore Sports Hub
Before Stadium MRT Station was built, Kallang station used to get very crowded. This happened whenever big events were held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium or the National Stadium.
After the new Singapore Sports Hub opened, a special covered walkway was built. This walkway connects Kallang station directly to the Singapore Sports Hub. This helped a lot to reduce the crowds at Stadium station, which is smaller and can only handle shorter trains. Now, it's much easier for everyone to get to and from events!
