Kamari Quincey Lassiter (born January 23, 2003) is an American professional football player. He plays as a cornerback for the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL). A cornerback is a defensive player who tries to stop the other team's passes.
Before joining the NFL, Kamari played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. He helped his team win two national championships. These are big titles for the best college football teams in the country. The Houston Texans picked him in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft, which is when professional teams choose new players.

Early Life and High School
Kamari Lassiter was born in Savannah, Georgia, on January 23, 2003. He started playing football when he was just three years old. He went to American Christian Academy in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Kamari was a talented athlete who played many sports. Besides football, he also played basketball, baseball, and ran track. In high school football, he was a strong defensive player. He made 210 tackles, which means he stopped the player with the ball many times. He also had ten interceptions (catching the other team's passes) and forced four fumbles (making the other team drop the ball).
Kamari also played wide receiver on offense, catching passes for 2,488 yards and scoring 35 touchdowns. He was considered a "four-star recruit," which means he was one of the top high school players in the country. Many colleges wanted him to play for them, but he chose the University of Georgia.
College Football Career
Kamari started playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2021 as a "true freshman," meaning he played in his first year of college. He played in all 15 games that season, making 11 tackles and one interception.
In the 2022 season, Kamari's role on the team grew bigger. He started his first game against Oregon, where he made three tackles. Later that season, against Tennessee, he had his best game with five tackles and a "pass break up" (stopping a pass from being completed).
Kamari finished the 2022 season with 38 tackles. He helped the Georgia Bulldogs win the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship Game against TCU, where he made three tackles in their big 65–7 victory. This was his second national championship with the team.
